English Language Requirements

·        Undergraduate applicants should have completed high school with good grades. Some students may have to complete an international foundation course before progressing to the bachelors degree.

·        International bachelor’s degree applicants require an IELTS score of 6.0 overall (with no less than 5.5 in any band) or equivalent. 

·        There is also a bachelor’s studies route option with English support for students with IELTS of 5.5 overall (with no less than 5.5 in any band).

·        The requirement for BA Journalism is an IELTS score of 7.5 overall and 7.5 in all bands.

QUALIFICATIONS   

Foundation

• Successful completion of 11th with 50% or completion of Standard XII with a PASS (Maths essential for Accounting and Information Systems pathway)

Undergraduate (Bachelors)

• Successful completion of Standard XII with a minimum of 65% or 
  Completion of a recognised foundation course

Graduate Diploma (pre-Masters/MBA)

• Successful completion of a 3-year or 4-year degree or diploma from a Government recognised institution

Postgraduate (Masters)

• Successful completion of a 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum of 50% or a 3 year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55%

Postgraduate (Research)

• Successful completion of a 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% or a 3 year bachelor degree with a minimum of 60%

Accommodation for International Students

·        First year undergraduate international students who have firmly accepted their offer and applied for accommodation by the specified deadline for international students, will be guaranteed a place in university accommodation.

·        The accommodation will be either halls of residence or university approved landlord accommodation.

·        Halls of residence are self-catered, with refectories on each campus, and provide free Internet accesss.

·        It is a short walk to lectures from the halls on campus. Some halls are located off campuses at varying distances. The university bus runs between all campuses every half hour during term time.

·        International students are spread evenly across the campus halls of residence. Students may stay in their accommodation during the Christmas and Easter vacations, only having to move out during the summer months.

International scholarships

The University of Gloucestershire is pleased to reward academic excellence and operates an extensive scholarship programme for international students. Please note the following:

• To be eligible for these scholarships students must be paying fees at the international tuition fee rate.

• Only students who hold an offer can be awarded a scholarship.

Scholarships and bursaries

 The university offers  a range of scholarships from £2,000 to £4,000 for undergraduate or postgraduate taught courses. These will be awarded after receipt of application and offer and are valid for first year of study only.
