The University of Bath is a public university located in Bath, Somerset, United Kingdom. It received its Royal Charter in 1966. The Claverton Campus is 1 mile from the centre of the beautiful City of Bath, a World Heritage Site.. Famed for its Georgian architecture and acres of green space, Bath was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 and is home to an abundance of historic sites, theatres and museums, including the Jane Austen museum, which celebrates the life of the author in her hometown. The university is organised across four faculties: engineering and design, humanities and social science, management and science. It is known for excellence in teaching and research; a superb student experience; and providing outstanding preparation for the workplace , Bath is well established as a nurturing environment for enterprising minds. Sports are central to the Bath experience: the university has among the best sports facilities in the UK. More than 15,000 students are enrolled at Bath, with more than a quarter of them coming from outside the UK and representing 100 nationalities. Employment rates for graduates are higher than average, something the university attributes to the work placements offered with every degree course and its emphasis on practical, ‘real life’ skills that employers value. IELTS Requirements: To study on the International Foundation Year you need a minimum IELTS score of 5.5. The minimum English Language requirement for our undergraduate courses is IELTS 6.0 - 7.0 or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively for those undertaking the CBSE and ISC (Indian examination boards) then we require Class XII English at 70% minimum. All postgraduate taught applicants must meet our English requirements (IELTS 6.5-7.0)


Admission Requirement*: UG: If you have CBSE & ICSE qualifications, To be eligible for entry, students should have predicted grades of an aggregate of 80% in five subjects in their Class XII exams, alongside with a strong performance in Class X. Science and Engineering students will need to obtain an aggregate of at least 75% in Class XII exams. If you have West Bengal or Maharashtra Board qualifications, you will be considered for direct entry. West Bengal Board students will need to have an aggregate in five subjects of at least 70% in their Class X and Class XII exams. Maharashtra Board students will be taken on an individual basis but the guidelines are again an aggregate in five subjects of around 85% depending upon their individual subjects. PG: If you have a Bachelors degree with a good first class degree of 60% and above from a recognized central or state university, you will be considered for entry to a Masters degree. Entry requirements vary depending on the course and some of our programmes require work experience .


All full-time first year undergraduate students are guaranteed accommodation for their first year of study as long as they have selected Bath as their firm choice and have accepted and applied for accommodation The university offers a broad range of room types to suit all budgets; half of the rooms are en suite. Accommodation is predominately in self-catered flats with student bedrooms (5-18 single study) arranged around a communal kitchen. Groups are usually mixed, but you can choose all male or all-female options if you feel strongly. All accommodation prices include utility bills, internet and Wi-Fi, connection to network, and core possessions insurance.



Scholarships and studentships Scholarships for international taught postgraduate students If you are a master's student with Overseas fee status, you may be eligible for one of our scholarships to help you pay your fees. If you are eligible, the money is applied as a discount on your tuition fees.
