All students are guaranteed accommodation for their first year of study, provided that they meet certain conditions. A full list of these conditions can be found on the university website

• Both self-catered and catered accommodation is available and Internet access is provided.

• International students are placed across university accommodation and do not have to move out of their accommodation during the Christmas and Easter vacations.

• Most accommodation sites are within 10 minutes' walk of the campus. Some are a little further out, but nothing more than a short Metro or bus journey away

To qualify for the New Students' Guarantee as a undergraduate*, you must:

• Have accepted our academic offer to study at Newcastle as your firm choice university

• Be enrolled for the full academic year

• Be a single student (ie not need accommodation for you and a partner or family)

• Have completed the online Accommodation Application .

The guarantee may involve some temporary sharing at the start of term.

Mature undergraduate students aged 25+ will be allowed to choose from residence options within both undergraduate and postgraduate areas. If you prefer not to live with students between the ages of 18-22, we recommend you make your selections based on the postgraduate options available.

To qualify for the New Students' Guarantee as a postgraduate, you must:

• Be enrolled for the full academic year

• Be a single student (ie not need accommodation for you and a partner or family)

• Meet all conditions of the academic offer to study at Newcastle

• Have completed the online Accommodation Application 

• Pay an application fee payment of £500 (refundable off your summer term's rent)

• Funding is available to UK, EU or non-EU international students, with a variety of fully funded and partially funded scholarships and studentship opportunities.

• Funding options also include a range of tuition fee discounts, fee instalment plans, UK Research Councils and doctoral training centre funding, alongside alumni and charity awards.

• The university aims to make the search for funding as easy as possible, with a comprehensive online easy to use funding database, updated on a weekly basis. Please refer to the university website for further information.

The main scholarship award scheme for undergraduate students is:

• Opportunity Scholarships – cash bursaries worth up to £2,000 per year

You may also be able to apply for one of  subject scholarships or sports scholarships.

 10 100% International Foundation scholarships available for gifted students .

To apply you must already hold an offer to study at INTO Newcastle University.
